BlueBound Women Podcast / Episode #1: Interview with Rachel Luckham, UK paddleboarder and mental wealth coach

“It just gives me that humbling peace. I love being out on the water, I love being out on my paddleboard. It really just gives me time, and I get to be completely by myself”.

Having served in the tough environment of the Royal Navy for 10 years as a Personal Training Instructor, Rachel realised that her calling to the sea also extended to wellbeing and mental health. Now having transitioned to working as a coach at Positive Prospects, Rachel regularly goes out to paddleboard along the south coast of the UK, and has even had the lovely experience of meeting some seals on her travels.

In this episode we talk about growing up by the ocean, mental ‘wealth’ and blue health, paddling tips for beginners, spotting marine life like seals in the water, and top paddling spots in the UK & the world (Bali!).

All set to the soothing background sounds of coastal seagulls, in the South of the UK. Grab a cup of tea to relax, and we hope you enjoy!

P.S. Don’t forget that you can listen to our podcast on Anchor, Spotify, Radio Podcasts and Google Podcasts.
