If you have a story to tell about surfing, this is your chance! Run by a majority-female team, this festival is free from sexism and open for you to apply to freely.
Would you like to apply? You don’t need to be a professional, just passionate and with a story to tell.
The Portuguese Surf Film Festival was started in Ericeira by a majority-woman team, led by Susana Metzger. Last year we interviewed a key member of their team, Annika von Schütz, who is a surfer and a film maker too, recently launching her new film ‘Femme Ocean’.
Every year, with the support of the Mafra City Hall, the Portuguese Surf Film Festival presents a surf-art exhibition during the festival, at the Casa de Cultura Jaime Lobo e Silva, Galeria Orlando Morais.
If you have a story to tell and would like to submit a film, the deadline is 10 May. Drop us an email, and we can give you support and cheerleading throughout your application.
